Luggage Storage in Málaga: Complete Guide

The best option for storing luggage in Málaga: secure lockers in the historic centre, steps from the Cathedral and Larios Street. Prices, opening hours and practical tips.

You can store luggage in Málaga city centre at Lock & Store: Calle Esparteros, 9 (next to Larios Street) and Calle Cañón, 7 (next to the Cathedral). Open every day 07:30–23:59. From €9.50/day. Book on this website.

In 2025 the city of Málaga recorded 1.83 million hotel guests, according to the Málaga City Council using Spain’s INE Hotel Occupancy Survey. Many of those travellers arrive before check-in or leave after check-out: a locker in the old town beats dragging bags through pedestrian streets.

How much does luggage storage cost in Málaga?

From €9.50/day for Locker M (carry-on + backpack) and €13.00/day for Locker XL (large suitcase or up to 4 carry-ons). Pricing is per calendar day, until 23:59. Open every day 07:30–23:59, including holidays. Book online to guarantee a locker. To compare locker types and prices across the city, see the guide to lockers in Málaga.

Where can I leave luggage before hotel check-in?

At Lock & Store — you do not need to be a guest at a particular hotel. Many hotels take bags before check-in or after check-out, but that is not guaranteed. In high season there can be a waiting list, and storage is usually a shared room without a personal PIN.

Which locker is closer to the Cathedral, and which to Larios Street?

Calle Cañón, 7 is next to Málaga Cathedral (you can see a wall from the door). Calle Esparteros, 9 is 1 minute from Larios Street and the Central Market. If you are still choosing, start with the city-centre guide.

Cathedral cultural visits do not open at first light; the official timetable changes by season, and last entry is 45 minutes before closing. Lockers open at 07:30, so you can drop bags and wait for the visit to start.

Can I store bags after arriving from the airport, train or a cruise?

Yes. The lockers are in the pedestrian centre, not at the terminal. A taxi or ride-hail from the airport to the old town usually takes about 20–25 minutes. From María Zambrano, take metro or bus to Atarazanas (Esparteros is a 2–3 minute walk). From Muelle Uno, Cañón is about a 3-minute walk. Directions: Esparteros and Cañón.
